Message And I like you Kenny, I think you're a smart guy, and because of that I know whenever I write a response to you I'm in for quite an argument. But I really think you're letting emotions get in the way here.
I'll respond to each of your points.

1) Rebuilt motors are not new motors. And even if they were, ANY motor that is modified to the extent that the ones in question have been, there is a SLEW of variables other than the ECU that can lead to failure - the fact that they happen to be old motors only increases the chances of those variables causing problems.

2) Of course I don't have a list like that, no one does, that's the whole point. It's unfair to look at one tuner's motors that resulted in failures and conclude that every failure is all the tuner's fault, and not the fault of another variable. The only way to conclude that Ash's tuned motors have a high failure rate would be to compare them with comparably tuned motors by other tuners over time, a task I doubt anyone can actually do, which is why I brought it up.

3) I see that you didn't conclude a particular theory, I may have jumped to conclusions on that one and for that I apoligize. But it's important to understand that Ash tuning these motors may not be the only common thread between them.

4) My conjecture was simply an example (I'm not saying it's true, but it COULD be) to show that there are many possibilities for why these engines failed, none of which have been proved/disproved. In this light, my conjecture is just as valid as anyone's arguments against Ash at this point. That was my point.

5) I didn't accuse you of accusing (lol), but it is implied by a lot of people in a lot of ways in this thread.

I just hate to see everyone break out the pitchforks on Ash like this with so little information/proof. We all know how cimplicated engines are, and it is silly to, with the information thats been presented, automatically assume x engines failed because Ash tuned them, and rule out any other possibilities. *Especially* since we all know the predisposition alot of the forum has to bash Ash.
This is not people ganging up on a noob that asked a stupid question or on Jaspec because of his poor grammar; this is a man's reputation and source of income, who in the past has never shown some crazy motive of wanting to ruin people's cars or disgust for the Z community. It's not something to just jump to conclusions about.
Even if it is all true and it Ash's fault that these motors failed, is this really the way to go about it?
